Happy Fall, Y’all! Can you believe how quickly this year has gone by? It feels like it was just yesterday when I was toasting champagne, counting down the seconds to 2018, and now here we are at the end of September!! The Autumn Equinox (aka the first day of fall) was back on the 22nd, it seems everyone has already switched out their shorts for jeans and cute blouses for sweaters. Yet as I write this, it is 71 degrees outside… so technically, it’s still Summer for a little bit longer here in North Carolina- and there’s nothing you can say to change my mind!! If you haven’t noticed, your girl is CLINGING to Summer!
I absolutely LOVE Summer- Ice Cream, Smoothies, Cookouts, Short-Shorts, Breezy Dresses, and so much more that truly make it the best time of the year. With the exception of under-boob sweat (ew!!), everything about Summer reminds me of good times and even better memories. When I was a child, I always knew I would become an entrepreneur when I got older. I would organize a street-side corner store, think of it as an upgraded lemonade stand with candy and more, and I would organize the neighborhood kids to participate and help out with the sales. One year, we made enough money to buy a Slip-and-Slide! Some of the best times of my childhood happened during the Summertime!
This look was inspired by the juxtaposition of Summer and Autumn, combining some of my favorite pieces and trends. I splurged on this adorable top from Show Me Your Mumu- and by splurge, I mean $35- which is still available here! I love this top because it combines a flowy crop top with off-the-shoulder sleeves and makes for a great statement top! The floral print camouflages the white background, so it’s fine to wear after Labor Day. 😉 Next, I recently picked up this adorable Fanny Pack from my favorite handbag designer, Kate Spade New York. They were having a 30% off sale at the time, but the bag is only $98!! You can get one of your own here. Then I paired it with my comfy Joe’s Jeans and Call It Spring Booties. The whole look comes together as a perfect late Summer/early Fall look!
I would love to know what you think of this Late Summer/Early Fall look! What’s your favorite season of the year? Let me know in the comments below! If you enjoyed this post, don’t forget to like it and share with your friends!!
