Hey, ya’ll! It’s finally starting to feel like Fall in Raleigh and I’m more than ready with my cool weather wardrobe! I’ve spent weeks curating my sweater collection to keep it fresh and exciting so I have plenty of options to choose from! It’s been difficult trying to update my wardrobe on a budget but I’ve done my best to keep all of my purchases under $80. Trust me- it’s not as easy as it appears!

When I’m shopping for sweaters, I always have some sort of game plan to keep me focused. Usually, I’m checking for extremely functional pieces that are easy to layer under jackets and with other essentials, like a turtleneck. The next thing I check for is coziness. If you were to put coziness on a scale from 1-10 with 10 being the coziest, your girl is looking for sweaters in the 7-8 range. Of course, I’ll pick up 1 or 2 super fluffy sweaters that are must-haves, but for the most part, I stay away from anything in the 10 range since it becomes extremely difficult to layer. The last thing I look for is color! I love rich fall colors like olive green, maroon, and grey!! I also love pops of color with bright sweaters in pink and yellow. For this fall lookbook though, I’ve kept the colors more traditional to a typical fall wardrobe.

The great part about this fall lookbook I’ve put together for you is that it incorporates old AND new sweaters that are still available to be purchased! Some of my older sweaters that I’m wearing are up to 6 years old- wow, right?! It’s another reminder to #ShopYourCloset and never forget about your old pieces! Are you ready to see what sweaters I’ll be wearing this fall? Great! So without further ado, here is the Fall 2018 Lookbook: The Sweater Edit!

LOOK #1: Neely Dolmen-sleeved Crop Sweater

Sweater: Neely
Leggings: Spanx
Boots: Steve Madden
Bag: Vintage Wilson’s

I found this adorable cropped sweater at my local South Moon Under for only $68! The thing that drew me to this sweater first was the lovely olive green color! This has been one of my favorite colors for the fall this year, which is saying a lot considering maroon/burgundy is my staple color! I love the lightweight knit on this sweater which makes it an excellent contender for layering. Plus, the overall slouchy look of it has me always reaching for the relaxed silhouette! For this look, I paired it with my Spanx Faux Leather Leggings, Over the Knee Boots and my Vintage Wilson’s Leather Bag- perfect for a day of running errands and grabbing lunch!

Look #2: A New Day Sweater Dress

Hat: Windsor
Dress: A New Day (Here’s a similar Dress)
Boots: Aldo

Target comes to the rescue again!! I’ve been telling everyone I know that Target comes through when it comes to fashion- They’ve got some of the cutest clothes, shoes, and accessories for amazing prices. Seriously, they rival my Forever 21 and H&M at this rate because they are killing the game!! I found this dress from A New Day at my local target for $27.99, which unfortunately is not available online. I love this dress because it is extremely warm and cozy. It’s a great option for a very cold day on its own and even better paired with some nylons! For this look, I paired the dress with a waist-cinching belt, a pink floppy hat, and some super cool combat boots.

Look #3: BCBGMAXAZRIA Wool Sweater

Boots: Steve Madden
Fanny Pack: Kate Spade New York

This super warm sweater has been in my closet for over 6 years! It’s made with a bit of wool so I often save this piece for an extremely cold day as I usually layer something underneath for comfort. As someone who can’t stand wool, it’s crazy that one of my oldest pieces is a brown wool sweater! On top of warmth and layering, this sweater is very versatile and transitions from outfit to outfit with little effort. In this look, I paired my sweater with a pleather skirt and over the knee boots. For a different styling option, I tucked the sweater into the skirt and added my Kate Spade Fanny Pack for a downtown nomad look!

Look #4: Free People Wrap Sweater

Wrap Sweater: Free People
Jeans: Lucky Brand
Boots: Call It Spring

I’ve had my eye on this sweater for literally MONTHS!!! As soon as I saw it for the first time, I thought it was the most darling thing I’ve seen in such a long time! I absolutely love the v-neck detail on the front and back, the side waist tie and the overall stretchy and cozy feel of the material. I can tell that I’ll be wearing this piece a lot this Fall and Winter. It can be paired with leggings, denim, skirts and trousers… really anything looks good with this top! It comes in 3 gorgeous colors as well and it’s still available online- for now! For this look I paired my sweater with some dark wash boot-cut jeans, and my favorite cognac booties.

Look #5: BCBGeneration Fuzzy Sweater

Sweater: BCBGeneration
Skirt: Free People
Boots: Aldo
Bag: Kate Spade New York

Feeling Blue? This oldie but goodie sweater has been with me for a little over 4 years and I don’t plan on getting rid of it. Why? Because it is super fuzzy and comfy!! This sweater is definitely a level 10 on the coziness scale, which makes it difficult to layer but it’s so cozy on it’s own that I can usually wear it by itself! Since it is so warm, I usually pair this sweater with either leggings or a cute skirt as I did with this look. I was feeling the all blue look, so I finished off the look with my navy Kate Spade bag and black Aldo combat boots.

Look #6: Free People Off the Shoulder Thermal

Sweater: Free People
Bralette: Free People
Jeans: Joe’s Jeans
Shoes: Steve Madden

Last but not least, one of my favorite sweaters for this season is this adorable Free People Dolmen Sleeved Thermal! It’s very lightweight which makes it ideal for layers with essentials and jackets. I got this piece from my local South Moon Under for $68 and it comes in 4 adorable colors. I think I’m gonna order the lilac color for December! It can be worn off the shoulder, on the shoulder or off both shoulders too. It is so oversized that I actually took an extra small in it! As mentioned before, this is one of my favorites for sure. It is so cozy that I just wear it around the house with my sweatpants! For this look, I paired my thermal with a Free People bralette, my Joe’s Jeans and my Steve Madden Sandals with some socks!

And that’s all for the Sweater Edit of my Fall 2018 Lookbook! I had so much fun working on this content for you all so thanks for your patience!
