This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of attending the Holiday 2018 Art of Style Fashion Show!! Let me tell y’all- it was the event of the season. It had everything your girl could possibly need- Drinks, Eats, Mingling, and most importantly, great outfits!
The show was held in the heart of downtown at the CAM Raleigh, an awesome non-profit art gallery that showcases a rotating spread of local art. Me and my boyfriend, Joe, arrived early so we could get the best seats in the house, but it was all good because there were tons of things to get into! There was wine provided by Raleigh Wine, vodka drinks provided by Social House Vodka, beer provided by Little City Brewing, and sushi catered by one of my favorite sushi restaurants, Mura. It was a beautiful turnout for the event- I heard there were over 400 people there!
After socializing with the locals, grabbing some drinks and sushi, the show started promptly at 8:00 pm!
All of the models in the show were customers and friends of the people who work at the Art of Style, and the cool thing about this fashion show was that each model selected their own looks! The show was so unique and nothing like your typical NYFW show. It had personality, movement, romance, and even a little dancing!
Once the show was over, we hung out at CAM until 10 and headed to Vidrio for the after party! Vidrio is a beautiful Mediterranean restaurant located on Glenwood South- and I really mean beautiful. This restaurant has a massive wall filled a gorgeous blown glass installment. (The picture is from their Yelp page!) We headed upstairs to the lounge area to mingle with the models and grabbed a couple more drinks to end this wonderful evening.
What a party!! 😉 We had such a good time at this event and I want to thank Kendra, the owner of the Art of Style boutique, for putting together such an amazing show!
Did you attend the fashion show, but didn’t get a chance to chat with me? Leave me a little comment down below and I’ll get back to you! For some videos of the looks showcased in the Fashion Show, check out my Instagram highlight reel from that night!
